GeoFencing

GeoFencing is a location based service that allows triggering campaigns to mobile users that go in or out of a virtual perimeter for a real-world geographic area. A major advantage of using GeoFences is that there is no need to preload a contact list relevant to the campaign, it provides a contextual interaction with mobile users based on their physical location.

Use Cases

GeoFencing is a great way to interact with customers that enter (welcome message) or exit (experience survey) a retail store. It provides a way to offer them a completely contextual experience.

Another common use is providing guidance to customers entering (parking, seating…) or exiting (traffic) entertainment and sports venues.

Configuration

To configure GeoFences go the “Menu”, under the “Interactive Campaigns” select GeoFencing

The first screen will show the GeoFencing lobby where a list of pre-created GeoFences is shown. By clicking on one of the GeoFences of the list, its summary will be shown, and it provides the possibility to edit or remove it.

In order to create a new GeoFence, click on the “new” button in the toolbar. Then, a new form will be displayed with all the required fields to create the new GeoFence:
